I am about to head out on a run of shows & festivals that takes me to Hangout Festival in Alabama, Backwoods Fest in Oklahoma, Waka in Arkansas, Bonnaroo in Tennessee, Texas Widespread Panic shows into Tulsa Panic & then into Red Rocks in Colorado for Panic shows & then on the beach in Florida for a couple weeks. Time2fly will still be rockin some shows around in Texas, Oklahoma in May & June but just not as much. I will be takin a little time off to travel the country and as Panic says " Live it Up!!". Look for more Time2fly action as July & August approaches and I move to Denver where Ryan Williams & I will run our Time2fly office out of Denver for the rest of 2011 & 2012. Crazy times out on the road with Fatty Lumpkin! We started out with a huge weekend in Lubbock at our favorite spot Bar PM. Wow what a weekend that was. Look forward to Fatty Lumpkin there July 16 & 17. We headed into Colorado next doing 3 shows in 5 days in Denver with a date in Pueblo. Next we headed into Kansas to play at The Granada Theater in Lawrence followed by some dates in Oklahoma with our family Flatland Travelers.

Wakarusa Music Festival was a blast w/ so many great bands out there. Widespread Panic!!!!. Great shows from Funkotron, Fatty Lumpkin, Flatland Travelers, Moai Broadcast, Groovement, Earphunk, Spoonfed Tribe, Incredible Sandwhich & so many more. Fatty Lumpkin and some of the previously mentioned bands will be at River Jam Fest in Ft. We have many exciting events coming up over the coming winter months!  Jason Michaels will be returning to the Pussycat Lounge every Monday night for his trademark Family Tree jam.  If you're a musician looking to jam you don't wanna miss this.  And if you're a fan of good music, you'll enjoy the soulful/rock vocals of Jason Michaels.

You'll be able to catch new local Reggae act Ugly Lion several places around the Texas region.  They'll be at the Flamingo Cantina in Austin on this Thursday, at the Tantra Coffee House in San Marcos on Saturday, and the Executive Surf Club in Corpus Christi on Sunday.

This last Wednesday, May 14th, was a huge success at the Lakewood Bar & Grill.  The Laughingstocks of Abilene High opened up the show for a lot of their closest friends.  Thanks for coming out.  Then acoustic trio Hung Gibson got some of the dancers up on their feet and rocked the house!  Authentic bluegrass band Spring Creek from Colorado closed things out for a special Wednesday night at the LBG.

Greg Ginn, former guitar player for Black Flag and voted one of the top 100 guitarists of all time by Rolling Stone, and his band the Taylor Texas Corrugators are playing the Lakewood Bar & Grill in Dallas on Wednesday, May 21st!  Other bands include Jambang and alternative country band Somebody's Darling.  Should be a great night.  Visit www.myspace.com/txcorrugators for more details.

Don't miss the big show at the Granada Theater in Dallas on May 22nd!  Fort Worth's country blues rock band Catfish Whiskey will open things up from 8 to 8:45.  Dallas acoustic soul rock act Paul Renna rocks things from 9 to 9:50.  Austin's reggae tinged folk rock artist Graham Wilkinson and the Underground Township will play from 10-11, and Dallas's own pop rock group the Scott McCurry Band headlines from 11 to close.  This is gonna be fun!

Dallas funk rock band Tall is getting back together for a reunion show at the Lakewood Bar & Grill in Dallas on Friday, May 23rd!  Other bands at this show include Rattletree, Likely Story, Chad Cooke, and bluegrass duo Mike & Burl.

The Lakewood Bar & Grill will be hosting an Acoustic Showcase on Thursday night, May 8th!  Artists include Chris Holt (from the Slack, Olospo), Paul Renna, Jason Michaels, Dustin Morris, and Hung Gibson.  Don't miss a Thursday night full of talented, acoustic music acts!

Catfish Whiskey is touring the country as we speak!  Look out Colorado!  They'll be playing Arvada and Golden this weekend at the D Note and Buffalo Rose respectively.  Acoustic act Paul Renna will be playing in Lubbock this weekend at both Bar PM and Melt.

Widespread Panic is coming to Texas: May 2 at the Showgrounds @ Sam Houston Race Park in Houston, and May 3rd at the Nokia Theatre in Grand Prarie!  Catfish Whiskey will be playing After Parties in both towns: Last Concert Cafe in Houston and the LBG in Dallas with special guest Dragna!  Don't miss this great time!

Hung Gibson, Professor Beetle Feet, and Ashley Falgout are playing the Lakewood Bar & Grill on Wednesday night, April 30th.  Paul Renna is playing acoustic at Darwin's Pub, Nat's Pub, and the Lucky Lounge all in the Austin area.  Catfish Whiskey and Moving Matter are both getting ready to tour throughout the country.  And Cecil PNUT Daniels is coming to town to play several shows including the Green Elephant on May 9th with Taddy Porter and A Partial Freakout.

Dallas jamband A Partial Freakout is making a trip out to Lubbock, Texas to play 3 shows this weekend: Bar PM, a Style Benefit in the Chrome parking lot Saturday night, and Melt.  Poison Cherry, Romallice, and Burlesque act the Velvet Kittens are all set to play the Lakewood Bar and Grill on Saturday night, April 26th!  And jamband giants Gov't Mule are set to play the Granada Theater on Sunday night, April 27th!  This is a big time show, so make sure you make it out!

Everybody get ready for the Widespread Panic shows rolling through Texas in Houston May 2nd and Dallas on May 3rd!  Fort Worth blues rock band Catfish Whiskey and Dallas pop rock group the Scott McCurry Band are set to play the after party for Houston at the Last Concert Cafe.

We have 420 celebrations in Lubbock, Fort Worth, and Dallas this weekend!  Fatty Lumpkin and Qwiksand will be playing the courtyard outside of Melt in Lubbock on Friday night.  They'll also be playing a 420 party at the Lakewood Bar & Grill on Saturday, April 19th.  Catfish Whiskey, Congratulations, Vagabond Kings, KatsuK, and more will be playing Lola's in Fort Worth on Sunday, April 20th!  And a whole host of bands including Fatty Lumpkin, Spivey, Paul Renna, Jason Michaels, and Dustin Morris will be playing on indoor and outdoor stages at Mardi Gras in Dallas off Stemmons Freeway and Motor Street on Sunday, April 20th!

Don't miss the Grimy Styles and Topaz show at the Green Elephant on April 25th!  Grimy Styles brings their dub style reggae from Austin, and Topaz brings his saxophone/harmonicai-tinged funk also from Austin.  Big time!

Warren Haynes and Gov't Mule will be playing the Granada Theater on Sunday, April 27th!  Don't miss this big time show!  And come on out to the Lakewood Bar & Grill for the Gov't Mule After Party featuring Dallas jamband A Partial Freakout!

Trunk Fulla Funk is not rolling through Texas in June as was expected.  Look for them to roll through Texas some time in the fall of 2008.

Time2Fly Music presents Michael Kervin's Birthday Bash at the Lakewood Bar & Grill on Friday, April 11th!  Musical acts include A Partial Freakout, the Scott McCurry Band, Ashley Falgout, Paul Renna, and Hung Gibson!  The Greyhounds and Woodenbee are set to play the LBG on Saturday, April 12th for a special LBG Staff Party!  That show starts at 10 PM.

Catch acoustic acts Hung Gibson, the Laughing Stocks of Abilene High, and Ashley Falgout at the Lakewood Bar & Grill tonight starting at 8 PM.  Soulful rock band Cellus & the Loose Grip will be coming up from Austin to play the LBG along with Chancellor and Tyler Guthrie on Thursday night, April 10th.  And Moving Matter will playing in Lubbock twice at Bar PM before they set out on their tour out West!

We have several 4:20 celebrations coming up April 20th: one outside club Melt in Lubbock on the 18th, one at the Lakewood Bar & Grill in Dallas featuring reggae acts Lowrise and Qwiksand, and one at Mardi Gras in Dallas on the 20th featuring many bands.

We have a lot of fun, interesting events going on at the Lakewood Bar & Grill this month.  Catch acoustic acts Hung Gibson and Abilene High at the LBG every 2nd Wednesday of the month.  Also, Paul Renna will be hosting Acoustic Tuesdays every other Tuesday at the LBG with several of his musician friends.

Reggae band Lowrise is travelling to Lubbock this weekend to play Melt in the depot district on Saturday evening (look for APF percussionist Kyle Atkinson to join them).  Hung Gibson will be playing classic rock covers and originals at the McKinney Avenue Tavern on Saturday following the Final Four Semifinals.  And Congratulations and Scott McCurry are playing in Denton at the Boiler Room Friday night.

Look for rocking Austin funk and blues band The Greyhounds to play a big Staff Party at the LBG on April 12th.  We've got a lot of great music lined up for the beginning of this month!  Look for more coming up this spring and summer!

Time2Fly Music wishes all the best for everyone in 2008!  New Year's Eve was a success here in Dallas, with Moving Matter rocking out the Granada Theater and A Partial Freakout playing the McKinney Avenue Tavern. 

We got off to a great start this year with the Bernard Wright Trio playing the Lakewood Bar & Grill every Monday night.  We've had great shows with ODOS, Jabarvy, the Wonderful Organization, A Partial Freakout, Fatty Lumpkin, Moving Matter, and Cellus & the Loose Grip.  And Catfish Whiskey held 2 great CD release parties on Jan. 18th & 19th for their new album "Blood & Bones."  It will be available for purchase at all of the Catfish Whiskey shows this year!

We had a great week last week!  Bernard Wright played a killer show Monday night.  Fatty Lumpkin rocked at the LBG after the Grayboy Allstars show at the House of Blues.  Catfish Whiskey debuted at the McKinney Avenue Tavern on Thursday night as well.  And our friend, Cecil "P-Nut" Daniels from the Widespread Panic family jammed with just about everyone on Thursday and on Saturday in Austin at MAX FEST!

Speaking of Max Fest, what a great night of music that was!  Happy Birthday to our Austin friend and guru, MAX!  A Partial Freakout and ODOS rocked the house.  Phish cover band the Nutbags performed for the first time ever and blew the roof off!  Jabarvy and Fatty Lumpkin had great jams with Cecil Daniels on midi-saxophone.  It was an all-around good time!

We're looking forward to another exciting year with bands travelling the country and spreading their good music.  We have 2 Wakarusa Winter Classics scheduled for next week, one in Austin and one in Dallas.  One band from each event will be chosen to perform at the Wakarusa Festival in Kansas in the summer.  Catfish Whiskey and A Partial Freakout will be ironing out details for another Spring Break trip to South Padre this spring.  And we'll be having another Time2Fly Fest before you know it.  So get ready, and we'll see you at the show!

Thank you for coming out to all of the shows this year!  We've had a great time so far.  A big thank you goes out to the Granada Theater for the Topaz show on Sept. 22nd and the Funkdaween show on Oct. 26th.  Catfish Whiskey and A Partial Freakout's Halloween show at the Lakewood Bar and Grill was also a success, as were many others.  But we have many more shows to look forward to!  Forgotten Space is playing their 1 year anniversary at the Lakewood Bar And Grill Nov. 7th.  The Mardi Gras bar in Dallas is throwing one of their Block Parties featuring several of our artists on Saturday, Nov. 10th.  A Partial Freakout is playing in Norman for the first time on Nov. 16th, and they will play Gezellig before Thanksgiving on Nov. 21st.  Jabarvy and Graham Wilkinson are slated to play several shows including one together at the Green Elephant in Dallas on a Saturday night, Nov. 17th.  Moving Matter has many shows scheduled, including one in New Orleans, Mississippi, and the Green Elephant in Dallas on Saturday night, Dec. 1st.  And Fatty Lumkin has several shows scheduled in December, including a holiday celebration at the Lakewood Bar & Grill on Dec. 27th.  So as we get ready for the Holidays, let's get ready for some good live music!

Worth, on 7/18 at the legendary Lakewood Bar & Grill with 3AM Live and Jason from Jones Band.   On 7/19 in Austin, Gradoux played at the Troubadour with Jabarvy and Ceasar Brothers Funk Box featuring Ricky and Norman Ceasar ,percussionists for Cyril Neville and a part of the Neville Brothers family. Also on 7/19 in Dallas, we had Grimy Styles and Free The Leaf  at Gezellig and we had Inner City All-Stars and O.D.O.S. with the Mayhem String Band at the LBG, while a hip/hop showcase at the Bone with the Subchronicles Crew with Figures of Speech  and Quick Chris & DJ D-Sinned. We closed out the week with a bang Saturday night featuring Secret Armadillo Society & Lowrise with members of Diasporic jamming early at the Troubadour on Sixth Street in Austin, Texas, and in Dallas, we hadTopaz, Moving Matter, Graham Wilkinson & the Underground Township, Nelo and Scott McCurry Band at the magical Granada Theater. We've had alot of hot shows so far this summer and midway through the summer heat we're still rockin'.

What a great beginning to a rocking summer with the CODE Festival on June 2nd! What a great time that was! For those who missed it, make sure you catch the next one.  TIME2FLY will be putting on a festival on August 25th at the Bone and Club Dada.  Stay tuned for details.

Please take a look at our show dates and see what we are up to as Time2Fly pushes outside the Texas borders with a lot of shows going into New Orleans, Louisianna and other areas.

We've had some great shows in April with After STS9 shows wtih Moving Matter in both Dallas (at the LBG) and Austin (at Club 115); Mike's Birthday Celebration with LARRY and Catfish Whiskey at the Bone followed by LARRY at the Steel Penny in San Angelo.  Look for lots of great Time2Fly shows at the Steel Penny.  We had lots of great times at the LBG  with the Eric McFadden Trio and Brian Hughes and Friends from the Transcenders on the 30th, Great Southwest and Jeff Strahan Band on the 14th; Catfish Whiskey, Jabarvy and A Partial Freakout back on the 19th.  Followed by an awesome 4/20 show with TOPAZ and Fatty Lumpkin at Club Dada, Catfish Whiskey's 4/20 show at the Moon in Fort Worth was killer as well.  Fatty Lumpkin opened for Codetalkers at the Rockyard on 4/13 in Fort Worth and opened for Spoonfed Tribe on the 14th.  Fatty Lumpkin rocked Sarah's Place on 4/27, also in Ft. Worth,  Nev.r.land grooved at Sarah's Place on 4/13 as well. Hurt Street rocked Bash Riprocks 1 in Lubbock, Texas on March 30th and A Partial Freakout rocked BR1 on the 31st as well.   Free The Leaf slammed 6th Street in Austin at the Troubadour Saloon with 3AM Live on the 14th.  To wrap up the month, Particle & Spoonfed Tribe at the Granada Theater on the 28th.  Look for more Time2Fly buzz at the Granada and Club Dada, where T2F is street-teaming for these legendary Dallas venues.  Its worth metioning again the Eric McFadden Trio show at the Lakewood Bar & Grill on the 30th.  For those of us who were there,  we know we were a part of something very special. All my love to EMT. It was good to see those guys. You're the man James! Look for Eric Mcfadden Trio back in Texas teaming up with Time2Fly in September with dates in Lubbock, Ft Worth, Dallas, and Austin.

 

Already in May, we have had some good times, and more coming our way.  What a good time with Odis and Country Fried Soul at the LBG. We really look forward to working with these guys.  On May 3rd, A Partial Freakout blew out Gezzelig on Lower Greenville.  Tonight, (5/5)  we are going to be rocking at the Bone for Moonlight Mile and Graham Wilkinson & the Underground Township with the Sun Dogs.   Coming up in May, we have the huge Time2Fly Music/Granada Theater Presents showcase with TOPAZ, TALL, Fatty Lumpkin, Free The Leaf and A Partial Freakout on May 19th.  We have Green Lemon's run through Texas starting May 8th at Jake's in Lubbock with Misterhood, May 9th at the LBG in Dallas with Fatty Lumpkin, May 10th at the Flamingo Cantina in Austin with Moving Matter, and May 11th at Dan Electro's in Houston with Moving Matter.   Also that week, Thursday May 10th at the LBG with Catfish Whiskey, Forgotten Space, and Mike Schneider and Friends.  Fatty Lumpkin at Flamingo Cantina on May 11th in Austin, Texas along with TALL & A Partial Freakout with Low Rent at the Troubadour Saloon, also in Austin.   Look for the end of the season run at Nat's Pub in Lakeway, Texas with A Partial Freakout on the 11th and Jabarvy on the 18th.  Time2Fly Music will be returning to Nat's Pub in the fall.  We have an awesome Rooftop Show at the Bone in Dallas, Texas on 5/12 with Likely Story, Pscycles, Salute 27.   Show starts at 9. 

As we push into the end of May, we have great shows lined up like May 17th in Dallas, Texas with Romallice and 3AM Live at the Lakewood Bar & Grill.  Also on the 17th, Catfish Whiskey and Low Country Audio rocking Austin, Texas at the Troubadour.  May 18th, Low Country Audio and Porter Davis at the LBG.  Just to mention again, the big May 19th Granada Showcase, what a night this will be!!   Rockin fri night at the LBG on May 25th with Scott McCurry Band and Josh Weathers Band with an early acoustic set by Great Southwest.  Two big shows on May 26th with Catfish Whiskey, Dr. Skoob & The Acoustic Groove with Cellus & The Loose Grip at the Bone *Rooftop in Dallas, Texas and 3AM Live & Villian Vanguard at the Troubadour Saloon in Austin, Texas.  Look for Time2Fly shows in both Lubbock and San Angelo with Shawn Nelson and the Ramblers on may 11th at the Steel Penny in San Angelo, Tx and then  Shawn Nelson and company play BarPm in the broadway area of Lubbock, Tx. Look for Catfish Whiskey in Lubbock for a 2 night run on June 15th and 16th. Also at the Steel Penny in San Angelo, Tx in May is Graham Wilkinson and The Underground Township on sat May 19th and with Fatty Lumpkin on sat may 26th.

Time2Fly will be doing more shows in Louisianna with A Partial Freakout's Bayou run:  May 23rd at the Maple Leaf in New Orleans and  Thursday May 24th in Lafayette at Club 307 with our good friend Collin Galyean's band The Board.  Look for Fatty Lumpkin at Grant Street Hall in Lafayette on May 31st and Fatty at the Maple Leaf in New Orleans on June 1st. Catfish Whiskey hits New Orleans on fri june 29th at the Maple Leaf and look for Catfish at Grant Street Hall in Lafayette on thurs june 28th.

June is looking good with Moving Matter's Wakarusa run in June, starting with June 10th, Moving Matter at the Wakarusa Festival in Lawrence, Kansas, followed by June 11th in Denver, Colorado at Dulcinea's,  June 12th in Boulder(venue TBA), June 13th in Fort Collins, Co at the Aggie Theater, at the Eldo in Crested Butte, Co on the 14th, in Telluride, Co on June 15th (venue TBA), and The Summit in Durango, Co on sat June 16th. www.movingmatter.com . Also in June we have Jwail coming through Texas with shows at Stubbs in Austin, Tx with my good friends Jabarvy. You gotta love Jabarvy!! They are also going to play Wakarusa. Much love and support to them! Jwail also plays in Dallas, Tx at the Legendary Lakewood Bar & Grill on thurs june 7th with Fatty Lumpkin. Much love to my people at the LBG and CluB DaDa: Dave, Michelle and all the staff. Look for lots of Time2Fly shows in those venues.  We will be spreading the word on all that they do.  Every Thursday night this June, we have shows at the LBG: A Partial Freakout's 100th show with Jabarvy opening on June 14th, June 21st with Free The Leaf, 3am Live, and Villain Vanguard, and a wonderful Thursday night show on June 28th with Grimy Styles in from Austin, Tx playing with Fatty Lumpkin at the LBG! Also a special sat night show at the LBG on june 9th with Topaz (opener TBA). More dates for June to come so stay tuned. Look for a possible Moving Matter Dallas date on fri june 29th.

Look for more Time2Fly music showcases at the Granada Theater in Dallas in July.  Also be prepared for some Widespread Panic after shows in the Austin area after their July 5th, 6th, and 7th run at the Backyard.  Don't be surprised if Catfish Whiskey and A Partial Freakout show up in South Padre on the Fourth of July for a spectacular Indepedence Day celebration!

Happy April Fools and thanks to everyone coming out to the shows. Its been an awesome start to the spring with some talented acts and great nights of music. How about a big thanks to the SMU SAE's for last Saturday's (3/31) chili cook-off featuring T2F bands Catfish Whiskey, A Partial Freakout and Fatty Lumpkin. Check out our myspace for pictures of some crowd surfing with Johnny Savage of Catfish Whiskey. Wow, what a great time it was. Also that evening we began the Rooftop Jams at the Bone with Jabarvy and Free The Leaf. We are also kicking off the Deep Ellum Arts Festival Pre-Party tonight, April 5th, with our friends at Copasetic Ballyhoo with Hurt Street, Josh Weathers, Fatty Lumpkin and Catfish Whiskey at the Liquid Lounge. We have A Partial Freakout rocking Friday (4/6) and Saturday (4/7) at the D.E.A.F. and rocking the rooftop of The Bone on Friday April 6th with the Sun Dogs and Moonlight Mile. Saturday night (4/7) at the Bone, just as the festival is winding down, Moving Matter and Fatty Lumpkin are throwing down on the rooftop all night.

Happy New Year everyone!  We have a great feeling about what 2007 will bring for Time2Fly Music. T2F started the new year right with Fatty Lumpkin rockin; if you were there, you know what we are talking about. We would like to thank Matt and Darcy for opening their new home to us and let us jam down.  This year started off with a blast at the Troubadour with A Partial Freakout and Groovin Ground.  Coming up in 2007: January 10th, The Loft from Nashville TN rocking with Catfish Whiskey and A Partial Freakout at Club Dada. Moving Matter at the Bone on Jan. 20th and at the Flamingo Cantina on Jan 27th with Groovin Ground and Jabarvy for Max's Birthday.  Also just around the corner, Time2Fly Presents:  Randall Bramblett's Valentine's Day show at Bash Riprock's 2 in Lubbock with the Scott McCurry Band, and his only Dallas date at Club Dada on Feb. 16th with the Josh Weathers Band.  Also coming in February, Green Lemon in from Ft. Collins, Colorado with a show at Club Dada on Feb 21st with Fatty Lumpkin, and at Stubb's Indoors with Moving Matter.  On the One (featuring John Staten of Karl Denson's Tiny Universe) and Moving Matter starting the ROOF TOP JAMS at The Bone on March 2nd.  Then Reggae night with Graham Wilkinson and the Underground Township with Cultura bangin on the rooftop on March 9th.  Outformation (Sam Holt, WP guitar tech's band)  rocking Club Dada on March 16th with TALL.  Merry Christmas and hope to see yall at the shows.  Don't forget about Monday Nights at the Lakewood Bar & Grill with the Dallas Portal with drink specials and improvised jams.  All musicians are welcome.  Check out our friend's at Nat's Pub and friend us at our myspace.  See ya at the shows.
